Canterbury Cottage is a beautiful thatched property in a secluded rural setting on the outskirts of the picture postcard village of Chardstock. Perfect for those who really want to get away from it all - this property boasts large gardens and extensive countryside views – offering total privacy.
We had a smashing holiday in this beautiful cottage. Sun, sea, sand, walking on Dartmoor. We observed lots of nature including adders, dolphins, deer and butterfly.
The cottage has a traditional farmhouse kitchen with both an AGA and gas cooker and a side door to the garden. There is a bright, spacious open plan sitting room and dining room featuring a large stone fireplace with wood burner. French doors lead from the dining room to the gardens with outside seating and dining areas. Upstairs the master bedroom enjoys lovely countryside views from the king size bed. There is also a pretty twin bedroom, spacious single bedroom and family bathroom. The cottage has an additional cloakroom on the ground floor.
Chardstock is a pretty country village near the Devon/Dorset border. The village has a lovely thatched pub and local shop and provides an ideal base to explore the East Devon countryside and dramatic coastline.
